The College Process

The college admission process is designed to lead to acceptance at a college or university that meets a student's abilities, needs and interests and provides an educational experience that is beneficial to both the student and institution.

The college process at Bronx Science begins in the students' freshmen year when they can take their first SAT II subject exam. These exams remain in the student's College Board file as other exam scores (SAT I, more SAT II, Advanced Placement) are added. The student's guidance counselor will help guide him/her through the college process.

Every student is provided with an account to our Naviance College Software program. This valuable software tool enables our students to compare admission data from previous graduates of Bronx Science and see how they stand with any particular college. Students are able to perform "one-click" access to any college website. Special links to FAFSA forms, scholarship information, and helpful third-party websites are also available on the Naviance homepage. Using Naviance our students are able to track their progress through the entire college process. Students and parents are able to access our Bronx Science Naviance webpage with access codes provided by the school.
