Highlights of the Museum Collection

The Holocaust Studies Center has one of the largest and most impressive collections of artifacts related to the Holocaust in the world. Our Collection includes documents, posters, weapons, and many other items of interest. Here are just some of the highlights of our vast collection.

bulletA rare bar of fake soap made of cork that was used in Nazi concentration camps in Poland (Auschwitz). This item was used to fool people into thinking they were going to take a real shower, but in fact they were marching into the gas chambers.
bulletVery large, unique Ph.D. diploma, 1926 to Oppenheimer, from U. of Munich. One of the very last degrees issued by a Nazi-controlled school to a Jew.
bulletThe Alexander Donat (Ben Wald) Collection of original documents and photos introduced at the first Nuremberg War Crimes trial, including the testimony of the Governor of Poland, Hans Frank, signed by his Polish interrogator. This donation also includes Mr. Wald's diaries and papers from this famous trial.
