Danielle Banks
When studying a questioned document one of the most popular technique used is handwriting analysis. Handwriting analysis is a study based on the method principle that no two different people with exactly the same.
During a handwriting analysis letter formations are studied, as well as retrace, downstrokes, curves, size, hesitation, upstrokes and a few other personal characteristics of handwriting. If one examines these details and compares them to a questioned document and a sample of known authorship, it can be determined who an author of a sample is. A case where examination of this kind held weight was the case of the Lindbergh baby. It was tried that one, Bruno Hauptman was the kidnapper and the killer of the child. If this was true, then he was also the writer of the ransom note that was given to the family.
Handwriting analysis may be very important in a number of cases and is a very important part of the Forensic examination.
