Forensic Pathologist, Chief Medical Examiner for the New York State Police, and host of the HBO "Autopsy" series.

After receiving his Medical Degree, Dr. Baden interned at New York City hospitals. He worked in the N.Y.C. Office of the Medical Examiner, and served as N.Y.C. Medical Examiner from 1978 to 1979, and as Deputy Chief Medical Examiner for Suffolk County from 1981 to 1983. Baden has been involved with the investigation of the deaths of President John F. Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King, Tsar Nicholas Alexander and the Romanoff Family, Medgar Evers, the Lindbergh kidnapping and murder and the death of the victims of TWA flight 800. Dr. Baden has also served as an expert witness for the defense in many criminal cases, including the Claus Von Bulow murder trial, Marlon Brandow’s sons’ murder trial, and the OJ Simpson trial. He is the host of the HBO "Autopsy" series, which is based on his book, "Unnatural Death: Confessions Of A Medical Examiner". The series highlights several of Dr. Baden’s interesting cases to demonstrate the value of forensic science’s investigative techniques in homicide investigations. Baden is also the author of a more recent book, "Dead Reckoning: The New Science of Catching Killers". Dr. Baden Is a graduate of Brooklyn’s Boys High School, The City College of New York and the New York University School of Medicine.
