The Bronx Science Speech and Debate team had a magnificent showing at the University of Pennsylvania Tournament during the weekend of February 8, 2020. Click the headline to read about the team's achievements.


In Humorous Interpretation, Elana Abrams (’21) reached the finals round, earning a bid to the Tournament of Champions and a qualification to the New York State Forensic League State Championship.

In Duo Interpretation, the team of Elana Abrams (’21) and Enza Jonas-Giugni (’21) reached the semifinals round.

In Original Oratory, Steven Huang (’21) reached the quarterfinals round.

In Varsity Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Nicolas Kim (’22) reached the double-octofinals round.

In Varsity Public Forum, the teams of Tenzin Dadak (’21) and Ayanava Ganguly (’21) and Aerin Mann (’21) and Kate Reynolds (’22) reached the runoffs round.

In Policy Debate, the team of Declan Hilfers (’22) and Teri Lam (’22) had a winning record.
