Attention Juniors

Would you like to apply to become a Big Sib for the incoming class of 2024? If you are interested, you must attend one of the three mandatory Big Sib interest meetings in the auditorium on February 26th at 3pm and 3:45pm or February 28th at 3:00pm. Click the headline for further information.

We are the Big Sib Directors and we want to invite you to apply to become Big Sibs for the incoming freshman class of 2024.

Under the Big Sib program you will be mentors to the freshmen—teaching them about time management, the extracurriculars and programs the school has to offer, and how to get the most out of the Bronx Science experience.

We are looking for rising seniors who have a passion for the school and all that it has to offer, and are excited to introduce the incoming freshman class into our little home. The process to become a Big Sib is extremely competitive as we only have 92 spots to fill out of a rising senior class of more than 700, so we take this process very seriously.

If you are interested, you must attend one of the three mandatory Big Sib interest meetings in the auditorium on February 26th at 3pm and 3:45pm or February 28th at 3:00pm. At the end of the meeting you must scan out with your ID as proof that you attended. After each meeting we will send out the link to the applications to all of the emails of the people who attended the mandatory meeting and you all will have until March 8th at 9pm to fill out the applications.

Being a Big Sib is a big responsibility and requires a time commitment so please make sure you are willing to make the Big Sib program a priority before applying. We will be discussing more about the duties of a Big Sib at the mandatory interest meetings and can answer any of your questions or concerns there.

We hope to see you there!

All the best,

The Directors

Ilana, Ben, Melody and Garreth
